Craig Joubert of South Africa has been appointed to referee the Vodacom Super Rugby Final in Sydney on Saturday, SANZAR has announced.
It will be the third time that Joubert will referee the Vodacom Super Rugby Final. His first final at this level was in 2010 in Soweto between the Vodacom Bulls and the DHL Stormers and he also refereed the final in Hamilton last year, between the Chiefs and the Brumbies.

Joubert, who was also the man in the middle in the Rugby World Cup Final in New Zealand in 2011, will be assisted in Sydney by Steve Walsh and James Leckie on the sidelines, and George Ayoub as Television Match Official.

Should any Vodacom Super Rugby Finals Series match end with the scores level, the following will apply until a winner is determined:

a) Extra time played in two periods of 10 minutes;
b) Sudden death extra time in a period of up to 10 minutes;
c) A kicking competition featuring five players from each team.
