Dane Coles Ruled Out for Hurricanes
Dane Coles has been ruled out of tomorrow night’s match with a fractured eye socket. Motu Matu’u, who was on the reserves bench, will step into the starting jersey. Ash Dixon will come on to the bench for the match with the Force.
Coles had a scan on his right eye yesterday, following a knock at training. The results of the scan have indicated he could be out of rugby for up to six weeks.
Hurricanes Head Coach Mark Hammett said:
“It’s disappointing for Colesy, but there is plenty more time in this competition. He is a positive guy and extremely hard-working. He can still do a heck of a lot for the team, even though he won’t be involved in contact sessions, and we will be making the most of his experience and contribution.”
The match tomorrow night against the Force is at Westpac Stadium with kick off at 7.35pm.
