Davids back, Smit injured for the Lions

The Xerox Golden Lions XV travel to Nelspruit this weekend to take on the Pumas in the KaNyamazani Stadium in Nelspruit but do so without scrumhalf Dillon Smit who has aggravated his ankle again and will be out for 4-6 weeks.

Smit returned to the playing field when he started against the EP Kings at Pirates last weekend and showed the silky skills and sniping runs that he is known for. He was only on the field for 30 minutes, which was the plan from the start, but seemed to have injured the same ankle again.

Ashlon Davids is back from Super Rugby duty and dons the number ten jersey as part of a rotation system which sees Shaun Reynolds drop to the bench after a sterling performance against the Kings last week.
