There is just one change to the DHL Western Province U19 team for their final against Xerox Golden Lions U19, in Bloemfontein, on Saturday.

Junior Springbok loose forward Zain Davids will start at openside flank, in place of Nama Xaba, as DHL Western Province U19 look to win a title they last held in 2014.

There are no other changes to the match-day squad from their semifinal victory against the Toyota Free State Cheetahs U19 last week.

Coach Nazeem Adams’ team have won 11 of their 13 matches this season and will be hoping to continue their winning ways against their rivals from Johannesburg, in Bloemfontein.

Adams explained that continuity in selection was key for the final, as they aim to capitalise on the consistency that they have shown this season.

“The players have developed a great understanding as the season has progressed, so hopefully we can make the most of that in the final,” he said.

Despite his team’s dominance this season, Adams is adamant that they will not be taking anything for granted in their most important game.

“There are still many areas we can improve on and we know that the Xerox Golden Lions U19 team will pose a serious threat, so we will have to be at our best if we are to win the title,” he said.

DHL Western Province U19: 15 Tristan Leyds, 14 Nico Leonard, 13 David Brits, 12 Cornel Smit, 11 Ryan Muller, 10 Damian Willemse, 9 Jondre Williams, 8 Juarno Augustus, 7 Cobus Wiese, 6 Zain Davids, 5 David Meihuizen, 4 Ernst van Rhyn (captain), 3 Carlu Sadie, 2 Matt Wiseman, 1 Ricky Nwagbara.
