Dean Greyling Suspended for Two Weeks

The SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Paul Tully has accepted a guilty plea from Dean Greyling of South Africa for contravening Law 10.4 (a) Punching or Striking after he was Cited following the match at the weekend between New Zealand and South Africa in The Rugby Championship.
Greyling has been suspended from all forms of the game for two weeks up to and including 30 September 2012.
The incident occurred in the 64th Minute of the match between New Zealand and South Africa at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on 15 September 2012.
SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Paul Tully assessed the case.
In his finding, Mr Tully ruled the following:
That the player; Greyling, whilst in the process of cleaning out at a ruck, recklessly used his forearm such that he made contact in a dangerous way with the head of New Zealand player Ritchie McCaw. Although there was no injury complained of, the action had potential to cause serious injury. The player was issued with a yellow card. He was subsequently cited and pleaded guilty to a breach of the law.
