Deysel hearing postponed until tomorrow
Durban- Jean Deysel’s SANZAR Judicial Hearing has been postponed to Tuesday, May 31,
after he was cited for dangerous play during the Super Rugby match between the
Sharks and the Waratahs in Durban on Saturday.
Deysel has been cited under Foul Play Law 10.4 (e) for dangerous tackling of an opponent without the
ball; and Law 10.4 (m) for an act contrary to good sportsmanship.
Deysel received a yellow card after using a dangerous headlock to clear
Waratahs centre Tom Carter at a ruck in the 51st minute of the match.
The hearing with take place at the Kwazulu-Natal Rugby Union offices in Durban
and will be chaired by SANZAR Judicial Officer, Peter Ingwersen SC.
Meanwhile, the outcome of Lions flank Michael Rhodes’s SANZAR Judicial Hearing
is still expected on Monday.
