DHL WP U21 shuffle pack for final
DHL Western Province U21 have made three changes to their forward pack for their final clash against Vodacom Blue Bulls U21 in Durban on Saturday.
Following their dramatic semifinal win against Xerox Golden Lions U21 in Johannesburg last week, DHL Western Province U21 will play in their sixth consecutive final, which kicks off at 13h00 at Growthpoint Kings Park on Saturday.
The only change in the backline sees Joshua Vermeulen start at fullback having recovered from a calf injury.
In the forward pack captain Ernst van Rhyn shifts to flank to replace Cobus Wiese who is starting for the senior DHL Western Province team in the Currie Cup Final.
As a result Ruben de Villiers will start at lock, with the only other change coming at hooker where Percy Mngadi comes into the starting line-up.
DHL Western Province U21 Head Coach Jerome Paarwater said that his team will relish the opportunity to play in a final.
“We have had to fight hard this season, but this team has shown great character and now we have a great chance to take the title.
