Disciplinary Update – Andrew Conway (Munster Rugby)
A Disciplinary Panel will meet in Edinburgh on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 to consider the red-card decision against Andrew Conway (No 14) of Munster Rugby against Connacht Rugby on October 27, 2017.
The incident occurred in the 61st minute of the Guinness PRO14 Round 7 fixture between Connacht Rugby and Munster Rugby at the Sportsground (Galway) when referee Nigel Owens deemed the player to have committed an act of dangerous play against an opponent No 10 (Jack Carty).
The referee showed the player a red card under Law 10.4 (o) – Late-charging the kicker: A player must not intentionally charge or obstruct an opponent who has just kicked the ball.
The player will face a Disciplinary Panel via video conference, the Panel will comprise of Roddy MacLeod (Chair), Frank Hadden and Ian Douglas (all Scotland).
