Dragons squad announced for Italian trip
Dragons Head Coach Bernard Jackman has announced his 26-man squad that will travel to Italy for the Benetton clash on Saturday 7th April and remain there until they take on Zebre Rugby on Saturday 14th April 2018.
The Men of Gwent will spend a week in Italy following their match against Benetton, preparing for round 20 of the Guinness PRO14, at the Fattori Stadium in the city of L’Aquila. Commenting on their trip to Italy, skills coach Barry Maddocks said; “We hope to get a good training week in whilst we are in Italy, following the Benetton match. “Around this time of year it’s good to have a change of environment – the boys have been working hard for the last 8-9 months so the ability to go there and freshen things up is great. Going to a different place to train just energizes people which is a good thing. “The boys want to go out there and perform. We want them to play an open and expansive game with the ball in hand. “We have three tough games left, there’s no doubt about that, with the two Italians and the semi-finalists of the Champions Cup left to play at the Principality Stadium.”
Dragons Squad that will travel to Italy; Forwards Gerard Ellis, Elliot Dee, Lloyd Fairbrother, Rynard Landman, Cory Hill, Harri Keddie, Aaron Wainwright, Lewis Evans, Josh Reynolds, Liam Belcher, Dan Suter, Joe Davies, Taine Basham, Max Williams, Luke Garrett.
