Eastern Province Kings defeat Border in Second Vodacom Cup Clash
The Eastern Province Kings defeated the Border Bulldogs in their second game of the season, with the final score at 30 to Border’s 22.
EP Kings Head Coach, David Maidza, said he was very impressed with the quality of rugby played, especially in the first half, where the Kings led 22 to 10 at the half time whistle.
“There was some really good rugby played in the first half, the team played as a unit and showed some excellent ball carrier skills,” he said.
Maidza said he was not as happy with the second half though.
“The second half went dead, the team lost shape and allowed Border back into the game,” he said.
Maidza said despite this he was happy with the result, but that there was s till a lot of work to be done ahead of the game against Western Province in Friday the 22nd or March, which would take place at Zwide Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
