Chairman of the Eden Park Trust, Doug McKay, today announced that the Park had commenced a search process for a new CEO following the resignation of incumbent CEO David Kennedy to take up a position in Ngai Tahu Property.

“David has made an outstanding contribution to the Park at a critical time in its development,” Mr McKay said.

“David joined us in 2010, prior to the Rugby World Cup, saw us through a very successful tournament and continued this proud record with the highly successful Cricket World Cup earlier this year,” Mr McKay said.

“Eden Park is now the premier sporting venue of New Zealand and its success in the last five years has been largely driven by David and his small but effective team.

“We wish David all the very best in his role with Ngai Tahu Property.”

Mr McKay said the Eden Park Trust had already commenced a search process to appoint the new CEO, and expected this would be well advanced by the time Mr Kennedy leaves the Park in late August to take up his new role.
