The City of George, SARU, tournaments sponsors and partners have joined forces again to create an exciting programme of events.
DHL has been confirmed as the entertainment sponsor and supporters at the ground can look forward to first-class entertainment during breaks of play.
Push the Tempo
Khaya Mayedwa, the SARU Commercial Manager, said the 2010 tournament will be bigger and better than last year’s very successful showpiece.
“This tournament has grown tremendously over the past few years and I would like to urge our supporters to book their seats as early as possible.
“The entrance fee is very reasonable if you consider that you will see the world’s best Sevens players in action over two days all in one location with top-class entertainment added to that.
“Our commercial partners and the City of George are looking forward to another bumper tournament and the fans will also be able to play an active part in the fun and entertainment by way of our Fancy Dress competition.
“The Push the Tempo marketing campaign pushed the success of the tournament to new heights last year and this year we have invested more so that we can raise the level of awareness and fan participation even further. Our supporters can win some wonderful prizes and SARU and its partners will soon announce more news regarding the Fancy Dress competition.
“For now though, fans must act swiftly to secure their seats to what promises to be another exhilarating two days of all-out Sevens action,” said Mayedwa.
The North and South Stands are reserved as family stands and no alcohol will be allowed on these two stands. A huge fireworks display will light up the George evening skyline after the winning team has received their Cup Final trophy and medals.
