Head of England Sevens Simon Amor has named his 12-man squad for the sixth leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Canada on 9-10 March, live on Sky Sports. One change has been made to the team that finished fifth in Las Vegas last weekend with Newcastle University’s Harry Glover coming back into the side.

The 23-year-old university-contracted player scored his World Series debut try in Vancouver 2016 and has since gone on to represent England in 70 World Series matches as well as the Commonwealth Games and Rugby World Cup Sevens.

Amor commented: “It’s great to welcome Harry Glover back into the squad after he missed out on Las Vegas due to university commitments. Harry brings with him an element of X-factor which is exciting for our team.”

England, who are currently ranked fourth on the World Series, will face Scotland, Japan and Argentina in Pool D on day one at BC Place Stadium.

Amor added: “We’re pleased with the progress that our younger players are making this season – especially in our final game against Fiji last week – and we’re looking forward to supporting them in taking another step forward this weekend.

“We are focused entirely on ourselves going into this tournament to ensure that we deliver the top-level effort and performances that defines this team.”
