ENGLAND RUGBY AND UMBRO INTRODUCE THE NEW ALTERNATE KIT FOR 2024/25
England Rugby and Umbro are delighted to introduce the new 2024/25 Alternate kit that both the Men’s and Red Roses teams will be wearing during the new season.
The kit design is a celebration of England Rugby’s rich history and Umbro’s 100th Anniversary. A diamond-shaped grid pattern on the front of the shirt, blends iconic historic references from both partners with a sleek modern silhouette, creating a beautiful collaborative design that not only honours the past, but also tells the unique story of the team and Umbro.
Taking influence from the tones of the England Rugby crest, the kit stands out with its rich shades of red and navy trims.
The Authentic Pro jersey, worn by the players and engineered for performance, features a reinforced fit, a contrast crew neck with forward side seams, a diamond-shaped call-out in the side seam highlighting Umbro’s Centenary as well as contrast cuff details. On the chest a heat-applied silicone crest and Umbro’s Centenary double diamond logo take pride of place. A gripper zone across the chest adds further visual interest and performance benefits.
The kit is finished off with the St George’s Cross prominently placed underneath the back neckline.
Duncan Thomson, Umbro Head of Pro Sports, commented: “We have collaborated very closely with the RFU to deliver an Alternate kit which perfectly visualises and celebrates both England Rugby’s amazing history and our 100th year anniversary. We can’t wait to see it on pitch and worn with pride by the supporters.”
Claudio Borges, RFU Executive Director of Engagement and Business Growth, said: “We are delighted to launch our new alternate kit for the 2024/25 season. It’s a great representation of both England Rugby and Umbro, with the latter celebrating their 100th year Anniversary. We look forward to seeing the shirt worn by rugby supporters all over the country.”
Launching on 5th September 2024, the RFU Alternate kit will be available for purchase on umbro.co.uk, englandrugbystore.com, as well as in the official store at Allianz Stadium.
The launch of the new Alternate kit will be supported by the “Always The Rose” campaign, which highlights the journey of the Men’s and Women’s teams as they grow into a world-leading team under one Rose. This campaign celebrates England Rugby’s storied history, with the Rose as a symbol of unity, inspiration, and excellence. It emphasizes the values of teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship, encouraging both players and fans to be part of the ongoing narrative of England Rugby.
Stay tuned for this exciting launch and join us in celebrating the unity and history of England Rugby with this new kit.
