England Sevens Head Coach Simon Amor has kept an unchanged squad for the Marriott London Sevens, the final round of the HSBC Sevens World Series this weekend.

The sevens side comes to Twickenham stadium off the back of a third-place finish in Glasgow last weekend having beaten USA 24-19 in a closely-fought final playoff match.

England’s position in the penultimate tournament of the season maintained their series ranking of fourth, 16 points ahead of closest rivals Australia in fifth place.

Amor’s men will head Pool C and will face Scotland, Kenya and Brazil on Saturday in front of a sell-out crowd.

Glasgow winners and series leaders Fiji are top seeds in Pool A and will play Canada, Argentina and Samoa.

Defending series champions New Zealand, who scraped past England 5-0 in Sunday’s semi-final in Scotland, will play Australia, as well as Wales and Japan in Pool B.

USA, meanwhile, will play South Africa, France and Portugal  in Pool D.

Simon Amor said: “This is the first time this season I have been able to pick the same 12 players for two back-to-back tournaments so it is a bit of a luxury for us. They are all fit, fresh and ready to go and that will give us a good level of consistency.

“Everyone is excited to play in front of their friends and family. To play the Marriott London Sevens in front of what will be no doubt a world-record crowd in the climax of the season is an incredibly exciting opportunity.  They all can’t wait to get out there and do their very best in a England shirt.”

The 2014/15 season carries added significance as the four top-ranked sides in the series qualify directly for the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016. Following their performances in Glasgow, Fiji, South Africa and New Zealand have confirmed their place in Rio, with just the fourth and final spot still be decided in London.
