England Sevens remain unchanged for the Sydney leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series (6-7 February) after they finished fourth in Wellington last weekend.
Coverage is live on Sky Sports 5 from 11.50pm this evening and in front of a sold out crowd at the Allianz Stadium, England will play Japan (1.28am GMT), Wales (5.26am GMT) and USA (9.19am GMT) in the pool stages.
There have been different winners in each of the three tournaments so far and England currently sit in fourth place (behind South Africa, Fiji and New Zealand) following a second place finish in Dubai and strong showing in Wellington. Dan Bibby’s impressive form in last week’s tournament saw him named in the World Rugby Dream Team.
Head Coach Simon Amor said: “Back in December we were struggling with a lot of injuries so lost continuity when we headed into Cape Town from Dubai. This time the squad is in a good place and, although we have kept things light, they have trained well this week. |

“It was great to have Ethan Waddleton and Jack Wilson make their England debuts in Wellington and for Ruaridh McConnochie to play his second tournament and Cam Cowell his third. These young players will be better for that experience and our aim is to make another step up this weekend.”
