EP Kings injury update
Apart from the normal bumps and bruises, the Kings’ hard fought 32 – 24 victory over the Free State Cheetahs on Friday night has not come without the expense of injuries.
Still uncertain of the extent of the players injuries, Dr Von Hagen and his medical team will treat and monitor their process.
Captain Steven Sykes picked up a rib injury, while Scott van Breda has a dead leg (left thigh).
Luke Watson who picked up a quad injury about two weeks ago is still struggling, and not responding as anticipated.
Follow up on known injury:
– Shane Gates – Fracture 5th meta-tarsal Right foot – RTP +/- 2 weeks
– David Bulbring – Operated for Right shoulder dislocation – return to training but no contact, RTP +/- 1 week
Injuries of concern:
– Aidon Davis – Operated for PCL / LCL tear of Right knee – RTP +/- 7 months
– Gary van Aswegen – Knee surgery, RTP +- 3 months
– George Whitehead – Knee surgery, RTP +- 5 weeks
– Cameron Lindsay – Knee injury, awaiting surgery
– Ronnie Cook – Toe fracture, RTP +- 2-6 weeks
