Erasmus to lead DHL WP U19 at Brookside
Hooker Schalk Erasmus will captain DHL Western Province U19 against Toyota Free State U19 in their clash at Brookside on Saturday.
With regular skipper Salmaan Moerat sidelined with a concussion, Erasmus takes over the captaincy reins for the encounter, which kicks off at 13h00 on Saturday.
Jessie Johnson comes into the second row in place of Moerat in one of just three changes to the starting line-up that did duty in their opening victory against Vodacom Blue Bulls U19 at Loftus Versfeld a fortnight ago.
In the loose trio Gift, Dlamini will start at openside flank in place of the injured Charl Serdyn, while the only change to the backline sees Christian Guetang start on the left wing with Sam Phiri out injured.
DHL Western Province U19 coach Nazeem Adams said that his team will have to be on top of their game if they are to get the better of a competitive Toyota Free State U19 team.
“While it was good to get our campaign off to a winning start against the Vodacom Blue Bulls U19, there are still many areas in which we need to improve.
“We know that we face a serious test this weekend, but the players are excited for what will be their first home game,” said Adams.
