Fans have decided the Blues will wear the 2013 limited edition Harlequins-style jersey for their match against France in 11 days time.

In a mid-week match during their tour here, the French will wear their traditional Blue playing strip which meant the Blues needed to change gear.

Blues’ fans were asked to make the call whether the team played in the white away-strip, or roll out for one more outing the limited edition jersey worn earlier this year to support Men’s Health Trust NZ.

With nearly 700 votes made, more than 500 of those were in favour of the limited edition jersey in which the Blues defeated the Crusaders at Eden Park in March.

“It’s great so many fans had their say and with such overwhelming support in favour of the limited edition jersey, we’re pretty excited to wear that strip again. It was a fantastic match last time we wore it and given the fact it is Men’s Health Week, I think this is a good result,” said Blues coach, Sir John Kirwan.

Blues v France – Tuesday 11 June, k/o 7.05pm at North Harbour Stadium. Tickets on sale at Super Rugby prices (www.ticketmaster.co.nz).
