FORCE ‘A’ NAMED FOR CLASH WITH SINGAPORE
Western Force lock Rory Walton will captain Force ‘A’ when the side takes on the Singapore national side at Cottesloe’s Harvey Field on Saturday afternoon. Kick-off is at 1pm.
The match will serve as a precursor to Singapore’s Asian Nations campaign later this year.
The Force’ A’ squad features seven Western Force senior squad representatives, including hooker Robbie Abel, flanker Chris Alcock, flyhalf Zack Holmes, centre Patrick Dellit and wingers Albert Nikoro and Brad Lacey.
Force Wider Training Squad member Guy Millar and Future Force scholarship holder, Richard Hardwick, have also been named in the starting XV.
Perth Spirit representatives Joe Savage, Kieran Stringer, Davis Tavita, Kaisa Reedy and Va’a Mailei have also been selected, while WA Under 20 playmaker Nick Jooste will start at fullback.
Palmyra loose forward Onehunga Havilli and Wests Scarborough scrumhalf Angus Taylor will also run on for the Force ‘A’ side, while
Conan Houkamau (Wests Scarborough), Jermaine Ainsley (Nedlands), Adrian Hall (Cottesloe), Lukas Birch (Kalamunda), Johann Louw (Joondalup) and Tutere Watene (Palmyra) will start from the reserves list.
The Force ‘A’ match will be followed by Cottesloe hosting Geraldton, in a fixture that looks to support and develop country rugby in Western Australia.
Entry to both matches is FREE.
Tickets are available for the Western Force’s next home match against the NSW Waratahs at the ‘Force Field’ (nib Stadium) on Saturday, 9 May. Tickets are available from ticketmaster.com.au.
