The Western Force will continue to proudly promote individual Western Australian-based businesses on the front of each playing jersey in 2015 following the success of the initiative last season.

All 23 jerseys have been claimed ahead of the club’s opening match of the season against the NSW Waratahs on Sunday, with the only major sponsorship opportunity remaining in the club’s milestone 10th season being the shorts property.

In 2014, the Force broke new ground in featuring individual sponsors on each jersey in the starting XV in the Asteron Life Super Rugby tournament, while the Western Australian Government was branded across the eight reserves jerseys.

RugbyWA CEO Mark Sinderberry said the decision to continue with the initiative was made possible by its success in its first year.

“We implemented the initiative last season to counter challenges in the market,” he said. “We worked side by side with these partners to understand their businesses and provide a strong ROI for their involvement in the club.

“The result was a fantastic opportunity to engage a series of organisations that may have not otherwise been involved with our club, and we’re extremely proud to have 11 of the 16 organisations that appeared on the front of our jerseys in 2014, returning for our 10th season this year.

“Similarly, we’re pleased to welcome 12 new partners onto the front of our jerseys, and we’re looking forward to not only having them involved with our club for this landmark season, but, importantly, providing an opportunity to facilitate growing their business.

“I would again like to congratulate the RugbyWA Board for direction and for their assistance in enabling conversations with these locally-based businesses.”
