FORCE SET TO FIGHT FOR WIN IN SYDNEY
Returning to the Super Rugby AU field for Friday night’s Round 3 clash against the NSW Waratahs after a week’s bye, the Force is working hard to bring home the win.
Former All Black lock Jeremey Thrush is expecting the Waratahs to “come out swinging” in Sydney as both teams play for their first win of the season.
“It will great to get over there, we are searching for that win and that is what we are going over there to do,” Thrush said.
“They will be doing everything to come out and put in a good performance. We just have to do everything to combat that and apply pressure. Hopefully we can get on top of that and get our game going to get the win.”
Moving back to Australia after three years in France, flyhalf Jake McIntyre is looking to build on his debut performance against the ACT Brumbies in Round 1.
“We had a disappointing Round 1 so we just have to build and improve to get a good result,” McIntyre said.
“They will be up for it so we just have to worry about ourselves and make sure we are ready to go. I think it will be a very tough game.”
The Western Force will take on the NSW Waratahs at Bankwest Stadium in Sydney on Friday, March 5 at 4.45pm AWST.
