Get set for Vodacom Bulletjie Rugby Day at Loftus Versfeld
The Vodacom Bulletjie Rugby Day caters for little boys and girls aged from 6 to 8 years old in what promises to be a fun-filled day at the mighty Vodacom Bulls’ fortress, Loftus Versfeld.
Barend van Graan, Blue Bulls Company CEO, said that schools wanting to participate in the rugby day at Loftus Versfeld have already expressed great interest. “We are expecting more than 5 000 kids playing on the B, C and D fields. I have no doubt that all in attendance will have a lot of fun and thoroughly enjoy the experience of playing on our grounds.”
Vodacom Bulletjie Rugby Day has been designed to give young boys and girls the opportunity to play rugby at Loftus Versfeld in a relaxed environment and as such does not follow a competition format.
“From six years of age onwards, kids are developing their identities and personalities and are very impressionable which is why we want to focus on developing and building a culture of giving. We will do this through the Bulletjie R1 Drive. The idea behind this is simply to show the kids that R1 can go a long way when put together,” said van Graan.
There will be an allocated Money Bin on Saturday for the kids to be part of making a difference in their respective communities. The first of three Vodacom Bulletjie Rugby Days kicks off at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, with the next stop in Tswaing, followed by Polokwane.
