Sporting Hero and why:
Richie McCaw – he is a master of the game. He is an example to many people with his style of play as well as the way he has carried the All Black over the years. He is not a fancy player that scores a lot of tries but he is a guy that works hard to get the ball to enable the others to get the glory by scoring the points. He also is not a man that takes credit for the work that he does, in his interviews he always spends time congratulating his team mates and giving them the credit for winning a match.
Non rugby Hero and why:
Nelson Mandela – He has given a lot of South African’s hope in a future in our nation and he has transformed the country giving all South African an opportunity to believe and achieve their dreams.
What do you think makes a hero?
Leading by example, leading by being amongst the people.
