Crusaders first five-eighth Dan Carter will mark a major milestone in the journey to bring the Crusaders back home tomorrow, by kicking the first ball over the goal posts at the new Christchurch Stadium.

With just nine days to go until the first Super Rugby game at the new stadium, it is nearing completion.  The turf is down, seating is in, lights have been tested, and field markings are down.  The installation of the goal posts tomorrow morning is another major step towards the Crusaders having a home stadium again.  Dan Carter will join construction staff at the stadium to help guide the goal posts into position, and will then do the honour of kicking the first ball over the posts.

When the Crusaders take on the Cheetahs on 24 March it will be their first game in Christchurch since May 2010.  Kick-off is at 7:35pm and tickets are available through Ticket Direct (0800 224 224 or ticketdirect.co.nz) or The Warehouse.  Fans are encouraged to get to the ground and get seated early for the official opening of the stadium and pre-match entertainment.
