Greytown High School First team rugby defeats Sarel Cilliers
On Saturday 7 March Greytown High School’s First team rugby defeated Sarel Cilliers, at the Wartburg Festival for the first time since the two schools have been playing each other.
Sarel Cilliers scored first and were up 12-3 at half time. In the second half Greytown scored through Mthobisi Shezi and the try was converted by Jean Pierre Van Der Merve who also kicked two penalties giving Greytown a narrow 13-12 victory.
Greytown High have now won three matches is a row(Newcastle 30-13,Carter High School 37-0, Sarel Cilliers 13-12) but have a tough match against Voortrekker at home on Saturday.
