GWK Griquas’ recent form at home:
• The hosts conceded two defeats at home – against the Vodacom Free State Cheetahs (33-28) and Vodacom Western Province (50-3) in the 2010 Absa Currie Cup. They have however recorded home victories over The Sharks (40-34) in week one, Xerox Lions (26-20) in week three and against the Barloworld Toyota Pumas (58-25) in week six in this year’s competition.
• The GWK Griquas had a mixed season in terms of results in Kimberley during last year’s competition. They recorded four wins and three defeats at GWK Park including victories over semi-finalists Vodacom Western Province and runners up Vodacom Free State Cheetahs.
• The Kimberley side however suffered home defeats against the Xerox Lions and the Vodacom Blue Bulls last year.
Platinum Leopards’ recent form on the road:
• The Platinum Leopards lost all seven of their Absa Currie Cup Premier Division matches during last year’s competition.
• The visitors are yet to record a victory at home or on the road in this season’s competition.

• The GWK Griquas flyhalf Naas Olivier is the second leading points’ scorer in this season’s competition – 136. Olivier has scored 6758 points in his Absa Currie Cup career. The pivot has added 220 for Vodacom Western Province, 163 for the Platinum Leopards and 292 for his current side.
• The Platinum Leopards has conceded the most points in the 2010 Absa Currie Cup – 445; and have also conceded the most tries – 63.
• Winger Bjorn Basson (GWK Griquas) is the leading try-scorer in the 2010 Absa Currie Cup – 14.
• Basson made his Test debut for the Springboks against Wales earlier this year
• The Platinum Leopards scrumhalf Michael Bondesio is the third leading try-scorer in this season’s competition – six.
