Nature of Offence: 10.4 (h) Dangerous Charging. A player must not charge into a ruck or maul. Charging includes any contact made without use of arms, or without grasping a player.

Hikawera Elliot of the Chiefs received a red card for foul play during a Super Rugby match at the weekend.

Elliot is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (h) Dangerous Charging, in an incident that occurred in the 16th minute of the match between the Sharks and Chiefs at Growthpoint KINGS PARK in Durban on 21 March 2015.

The case is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Adam Casselden.

All SANZAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to a Duty Judicial Officer hearing to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.

For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the DJO.
