HSBC Cape Town Sevens – What you have to know
Cape Town is abuzz with rugby action this week in the build-up to the highly-anticipated HSBC Cape Town Sevens. If you’re attending the event, make sure you know all the ins and outs of what will be happening on Saturday and Sunday.
Is it really sold out?
· A limited number of tickets have been released from unused allocations for both Saturday and Sunday’s play. They can be bought online at www.computicket.com or from Computicket outlets.
Can I use public transport to get there?
· MyCiti will provide stadium shuttles between Civic Centre and Stadium Stations on both days of the event
· The service will operate throughout the day and is free for all ticket holders
· The first bus will depart from Civic Centre at 09h00 and the last bus departs from the Stadium at 21h15
· Normal MyCiti services can however only be accessed with the MyConnect card, where standard fare applies
What about the children?
· There will be a Kiddies Village staged behind the North Stand between 10h00 and 17h00 on both days
What if I run out of cash?
· Four Absa ATM machines will be stationed on the stadium concourse
What about food and drinks?
· Food Lovers Market
· Wembley
· Variety of food trucks selling snacks and beverages
· SAB Castle Lager Beer Garden
And if I don’t want to dress fancy?
· There will be two retail stalls selling rugby merchandise – situated inside the concourse area
What can’t I bring into the stadium?
· Any food or beverages
· Musical instruments (such as vuvuzelas)
· Anything illegal

· Gates open every morning at 09h00
· Day one – first pool match kicks off at 10h15 and the last match at 19h56
· Day two – first knock-out match kicks off at 10h36 and the Cup final will start at 19h30
· Trophy presentation at 20h00

· 12h49 (match 9) against Zimbabwe
· 16h10 (match 16) against Kenya
· 19h56 (match 24) against England (beaten finalists last weekend in Dubai)
