Jake’s Kickstart Episodes 9-10
Vodacom has launched two new fun episodes of the Jake’s Kickstart series where Coach Jake White and his coaching staff introduce young rugby players to kicking and line-out throws.
In Episode 9, Vodacom Bulls defence coach Joey Mongalo focuses specifically on kicking in rugby. He explains what the different types of kicks are and, most importantly, how many points you can get. And then he gets down to the even more serious business of showing players exactly the technique they’ll need to kick like the Vodacom Bulls flyhalves.
Episode 10 is for all the future hookers out there. Joey and his team discuss the line-out and then the specific role of the hooker and how he or she needs to throw the ball in the line-out.
Vodacom has made all of Jake’s Kickstart episodes freely available on the Vodacom Bulls App. Use #JakesKickstart to join the conversation.

About Jake’s Kickstart:
Vodacom has embarked on a major digital drive to empower both rugby coaches and young players by taking the already highly successful Bulletjie Rugby coaching programme and developing it into a freely available series of online episodes featuring Vodacom Bulls Director of Rugby Jake White, his coaching staff, and even Bulletjie himself.
Jake’s Kickstart is a fun introduction to the game of rugby for players aged 5-9 – both boys and girls – using the popular Bulletjie Rugby concept and coaching principles.
