Jeloudev and Fa’alava’au return to Australia sevens
Parahi joins Pakalani and Walker in missing through injury
Australia Sevens head coach Geraint John has named his squad of 12 for round two of the HSBC Sevens World Series in Dubai.
The pacy duo of Greg Jeloudev and Allan Fa’alava’au return after sitting out round one on Australia’s Gold Coast, while Jesse Parahi misses out after breaking his finger in training.
“I’ve picked a squad that I believe has the attributes to really impress in Dubai,” said John. “We have added some extra pace and dynamism with the inclusion of Greg and Allan and I feel we have the attacking capabilities to hurt the opposition.
Australia currently sit joint-seventh in the standings with 10 points, with the top four at the end of season also knowing they qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Australia squad: Cameron Clark, Tom Cusack, Allan Fa’alava’au, Con Foley, Pama Fou, Alex Gibbon, Lewis Holland, Greg Jeloudev, Ed Jenkins, Nick Malouf, Sam Myers, James Stannard
