Kenya Confirms Safland Sevens Pariticipation
The Kenya Rugby Union has confirmed Kenya’s participation at the Safland Sevens set for 12-13 November 2016 in the coastal city of Swakopmund, Namibia.
This is will be Head Coach Innocent Simiyu’s first outing since his appointment to the job on Monday 17 October 2016 as the team readies for the start of the new HSBC Sevens World Series which kicks off with the Dubai Sevens on 2-3 December.
Other teams that have been invited to the eight team, top tier category of the tournament include United States of America, Argentina, Germany, Zimbabwe, Italy, Uganda and hosts Namibia.
Cap To Officiate Division 1B Final
Top Kenyan referee Constant Cap will officiate in the Rugby Africa Division 1B final between Tunisia and Senegal set for Monstir, Tunisia on Saturday 12 November 2016.
He officiated last year’s tournament in Kampala, Uganda and was also part of the officiating panel at the 1B Africa North tournament won by hosts Tunisia in late June.
