Kings beat Madibaz
Sean Hutchison – Port Elizabeth. A warm up ‘game’ was played between the Southern Kings and Nelson Mandela Bay University today.
The Kings went out to a 21-0 lead at half-time and ended up winning 28-12.
It was treated as a training game where a number of combinations were tried and a larger squad of players used. It divided into 4 x 20 minute sessions.
Southern Kings tries scored by Andries Strauss, Sergeal Peterson, Wimpie van der Walt and Cornel du Preez, with three conversions by George Whitehead and one by Wesley Dunlop.
NMMU tries scored by Brendon Olivier and Yamkela Ngam, with the conversion by Bradley Kretzmann.
