After missing the last two matches through injury, flyhalf Patrick Lambie has been passed fit to start for The Sharks in their Vodacom Super Rugby clash with the Blues at Eden Park on Friday morning.

The Sharks will, unfortunately, be without the services of hooker Bismarck du Plessis who sustained an adductor strain in training earlier in the week and has returned home.

Kyle Cooper has joined The Sharks in Auckland as back-up and will play off the bench as back-up for Craig Burden who gets his second consecutive start.

Fred Michalak shifts to the bench as half-back cover, to be joined by Meyer Bosman as the other backline replacement in a 5-2 split amongst the substitutes.

Despite early injury concerns to Tim Whitehead and Marcell Coetzee following the tough match against the Hurricanes in New Plymouth last Friday, both have recovered fully and will remain in the starting line-up.

The final changes are rotational, Anton Bresler getting a run in place of Jandre Marais and Jean Deysel getting his first start of the season, replacing big Willem Alberts who will play off the bench.
