Lancaster names 34 for Wallaby week
In-form Waldrom replaces concussion victim Vunipola
England face Australia in final QBE International on Saturday
Stuart Lancaster has recalled 34 players to Pennyhill Park to prepare for Saturday’s final QBE International against Australia at Twickenham Stadium (2.30pm, live on Sky Sports HD).
Exeter Chiefs’ in form No 8 Thomas Waldrom, who has scored seven tries in eight Aviva Premiership games this season, replaces Billy Vunipola. The Saracens man suffered concussion in Saracens’ defeat to Northampton Saints at the weekend will undergo the Graduated Return To Play protocol at his club.
Fly half Stephen Myler, who kicked 16 points for Saints in that victory, regains a place in the squad after a hamstring strain. Courtney Lawes (also Northampton Saints) continues to be treated in camp for a knee injury suffered against Samoa.
England won their first match of the autumn against Samoa last Saturday, with tries from Jonny May (two) and Mike Brown securing the 28-9 victory.
