Tristan Leyds will start at flyhalf for DHL Western Province U21 in their semifinal against Vodacom Blue Bulls U21 at DHL Newlands on Saturday.

Leyds returns from injury in one of just two changes for the knock-out match, which will kick off at 14h00 and be played as a curtain-raiser for the Currie Cup semifinal between DHL Western Province and the Vodacom Blue Bulls at 17h00.

With Leyds at pivot, Joshua Vermeulen shifts to fullback, while the other change to the starting XV comes in midfield, with David Brits coming in at outside centre.

The only changes to the replacements bench are the addition of prop Carlu Sadie and outside back Marko Labuschagne.

DHL Western Province U21 Head Coach Jerome Paarwater said that his team are looking forward to playing their semifinal at DHL Newlands.

“It is always special for the players to run out at DHL Newlands, especially as this will be a curtain-raiser for the Currie Cup semifinal.

“We have worked hard this week and we are expecting a tough game, which should mean some good rugby at DHL Newlands,” he said.
