Libbok to play for Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19 team
Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19 coach, Jaco Pienaar, named Junior Springbok pivot Manie Libbok on the bench for his team’s Under-19 Provincial Championship match against defending champions, EP Kings, in Port Elizabeth on Friday.
Libbok, who also represented the senior side in the Currie Cup Qualifying competition, recently returned to provincial action after representing South African in the World Rugby Junior Championship in England in June.
Pienaar wanted to stick to his starting team that has won all three matches in the competition this far, but had to replace injured flanker Jaco Bezuidenhout and hooker Johan Grobbelaar. They are replaced by MJ Hayes and Vuyo Ndevu respectively. Both move from the bench where Riekert Korff and Nico Peyper will take over from them.
The team is: Lourens Steenkamp, Ciaran Dayaram, Heino Bezuidenhout, Jordan Holgate, Irvin Ali, Boeta Hamman, Joshua Allderman, Dylan van der Walt, MJ Hayes, Eduan Lubbe, Hendre Stassen, Marius Verwey, IG Prinsloo, Vuyu Ndevu, Gerhard Steenekamp. Replacements: Nico Peyper, Tiny Mukhari, Simphiwe Matanzima, Erik Groenewald, Riekert Korff, Jason Olivier, Manie Libbok, Erich Cronje.
