Lions announce their team to tackle the Reds
VODACOM SUPER RUGBY ROUND 6: LIONS VS REDS
Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has named his 23-man team to front the Queensland Reds at Ellis Park on Saturday evening.
Ackermann has opted for consistency, making just one change to his starting XV for the encounter.
In the forwards, Willie Wepener will start in place of the injured Robbie Coetzee.
Meanwhile, on the bench, Mark Pretorius comes up into the squad after performing well in the junior ranks. He will provide cover at hooker. Another promising junior figure, Stephan de Wit, will also look to earn his first Vodacom Super Rugby cap off the wood. This after Warwick Tecklenburg failed a concussion test this week.
Additionally, utility back Lionel Mapoe has recovered from his hamstring strain and will also provide cover on the bench.
The match will kick off at 17h05.
