Lions extend contracts

The Lions have announced new deals for several players, including Marnitz Boshoff, Jaco Kriel and Warren Whiteley, ahead of the new season.
Springboks Boshoff and Julian Redelinghuys join Whiteley, Kriel and Ruan Dreyer in renewing their terms with the Golden Lions Rugby Union.
“Having re-signed these players will certainly add to the confidence and continuity at the GLRU and will assist the Union in meeting the goals we have set ourselves since our readmission into the Super Rugby tournament in 2014,” High Performance Manager Bart Schoeman told lionsrugby.co.za.
“These senior players join Derick Minnie, Stokkies Hanekom, Warwick Tecklenburg, Sampie Mastriet, Franco Mostert and other experienced players in extending their contracts with the GLRU.
“Combining these signings with a host of talented junior players, currently contracted to the Union, the future really does look bright for the Lions.”
