Lions select Spencer but drop Rose
Lions coach Dick Muir has made several changes to his team for their Super 14 clash against the Reds in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 19:10.
Muir has dropped fullback Earl Rose, prop Kevin Buys, hooker Charles Emslie, scrumhalf JP Joubert and wing Tonderai Chavhanga to the Lions’ Vodacom Cup team.
Muir has persisted with former All Black Carlos Spencer at flyhalf.
The Lions are still looking for their first win of the season, and are currently rooted to the bottom of the Super 14 standings.
