Springbok flanker Francois Louw is set to be sidelined for at least three weeks with a shoulder injury suffered against New Zealand.

Louw was forced off the field early in the second half of the 27-20 loss to the All Blacks at Ellis Park with what looked like a serious injury.

Good news for Boks fans however is that the barnstorming Bath loose forward should be fit for the World Cup.

“It’s a small tear, nothing too serious,” Louw told Supersport.com.

“Hopefully I should be back sooner than later.”

The injury means Louw will not feature in next week’s Rugby Championship clash with Argentina in Durban nor the pre-World Cup friendly against Los Pumas in Buenos Aires a week later.

South Africa are set to release an update on a number of injured players with prop Vincent Koch, number eight Warren Whiteley and Jannie du Plessis all likely to be sidelined.

Springbok captain Jean de Villiers will return back to the national camp this week having made it through two games for Western Province unscathed.
