Media speculation on future of Springbok assistant coaches
The South African Rugby Union (SARU) has noted with concern the persistent media reports relating to the future of the Springbok assistant coaches.
Andy Marinos, the SARU manager for National teams said these media reports, the latest in a series of allegations regarding the future of members of the Springbok management, are all untrue.
“It is not the policy of SARU to react to rumours and allegations, but the persistent and irresponsible media reporting on the future of the Springbok assistant coaches the past few days have compelled us to put the record straight.
“These rumours are unfounded, unsubstantiated and factually incorrect. SARU President, Regan Hoskins has already stated there are no plans to form a technical committee and that this item is not on the agenda of our Executive Council meeting on Thursday,” said Marinos.
SARU will not comment any further on the matter.
