Middelburg #LoveRugby video goes social
A behind-the-scenes video of the Springboks’ surprise #LoveRugby visit to Middelburg, as they took the Bok bus from Johannesburg to Nelspruit, was released online by SA Rugby on Tuesday.
It’s the fourth in a series of #LoveRugby short videos released so far in 2016, with more than 1.2 million online views for the first three underlining the Boks’ popularity.
The other videos were the Boks’ first squad assembly in June, two fans attending their first-ever Bok Test, and a tongue-in-cheek “motivational” video for South Africa’s Olympians in Rio.
In the Middelburg video, filmed on Sunday 14 August, the Boks pay a visit To the St Joseph’s Home for the Aged, where they serve cupcakes, tea, coffee and fruit juice to the elderly residents.
After that, the Bok bus stopped in another part of the Mpumalanga town, where they put the finishing touches to a colourful #LoveRugby mural as a large crowd of excited fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their heroes.
