New halfback pairing for Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 against Leopards
Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 coach Hendre Marnitz, rotated his team that drew in Bloemfontein last weekend, giving a number of bench players a starting berth for their Absa Under-21 Provincial clash against the Leopards at Loftus Versfeld on Friday.
Marnitz made a number of changes in the backline, with Adrian Maebane, Joshua Stander and JP Smith all moving into the starting team. Maebane comes in at centre, resulting in try-scoring ace Marquit September moving to the wing.
In the pack Heinrich Viljoen gets a start at flank, former Garsfontein HS player Le Roux Roets drafted in at lock andNqobi Mxoli start at tighthead after doing duty for the Absa Currie Cup side last weekend.
The team is: Ganfried May, Jixie Molapo, Dan Kriel, Adrian Maebane, Marquit September, Joshua Stander, JP Smith, Jsuanre Swanepoel, Abongile Nonkontwana, Hein Viljoen, Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg (c), Le Roux Roets, Nqobisizwe Mxoli, Arno van Wyk, Stefaan Grundelingh. Replacements: Corniel Els, Matthys Basson, Riekert Hattingh, Chris Massyn, Impi Visser, Kobus Marais, Keanon van Wyk.
