Nondescripts pulled off the first shock at the Christie Sevens, posting a 31-12 result over the Strathmore Leos in Pool C action at the RFUEA Grounds.
Oscar Dennis scored twice in between Peter Makuba’s try as the Red Lion led 17-5 at the break, the Leos landing once in this half through Ginton Adongo.Alex Olaba’s converted try after the restart saw Strathmore cut the defict, trailing Nondies 17-12 before Brian Beckham grounded the ball and added the extras for a 24-12 lead.
Oscar Dennis stepped through the center, offloading to Balucci Kegode, Beckham converting for the full time score.Champions –elect Menengai Cream Homeboyz started their Pool A campaign with a 22-12 win over Blak Blad while Top Fry Nakuru labored to a 21-0 win over the Stormers.
KCB overcame a slow start to beat the Catholic Monks 29-5 in Pool B action while the other match in this pool saw Kabras Sugar post a 31-5 win over the Kobs.The Menengai Oilers rattled Resolution Impala Saracens before losing their Pool C encounter 17-14.
