NSW replacements confirmed
Michael Cheika has confirmed his eight-man bench for Sunday’s Round 18 Asteron Life Super Rugby clash with the Highlanders.
The coach has opted six forwards, with scrumhalf Brendan McKibbin and wing Taqele Naiyaravoro covering the backline. The front row replacements are Sydney University trio Tolu Latu, Paddy Ryan and Jeremy Tilse. Pat McCutcheon, Will Skelton and Mitchell Chapman will cover the second and back rows.
Fans are being encouraged to show their support for their team by turning Allianz Stadium blue this Sunday for the team’s final home match of the regular season campaign. To celebrate the start of NAIDOC week on Sunday, the match will be preceded by a Welcome to Country ceremony by Marcia Ella and a ceremonial aboriginal dance.
Fans will also be able to enjoy a free family day, taking place from 1.30pm and including a kids’ skills and drills session run by NSW Waratahs squad players, plus a competition to deliver the match ball, and a curtain raiser featuring Macquarie University and Sydney Convicts (1.40pm).
