Adam Byrne, Leinster, Ireland XV and Sevens international, was impressed to see Guinness PRO14 Fanzone and the Dublin 7s bring two great events together: “Sevens rugby had a really positive impact on my career and I’m sure there’s a lot of players in the Guinness PRO14 who will say that, too. It’s great to see Sevens continuing to grow and it’s a great idea to bring it to more rugby fans on the weekend of the Final.” Katie Fitzhenry, Ireland Women’s XV and Sevens international, is hoping to be a part of the action with her club Blackrock: “Sevens weekends or tournament deciders like the Guinness PRO14 Final always create special memories for rugby fans and this is going to be the perfect combination. You never know what will inspire someone to pick up a rugby ball and having the Official Fanzone and the Dublin 7s come together is a great idea. Whether you’re playing or watching, it’s going to be fun weekend.” Aisling Delaney, Events & Sponsorship Manager, for PRO14 Rugby underscored that the evolution of Championship’s dedicated Fanzone is based on a drive to constantly deliver new innovations: “After the success of our dedicated Fanzones at our previous Finals in Edinburgh and Dublin, we know that supporters have high expectations and it’s our job to exceed them. “Bringing the Official Guinness PRO14 Fanzone and the Dublin 7s together will create an innovative Festival of rugby across two days in the lead-up to Final itself in Aviva Stadium. Tickets and participation slots are going to prove very popular so I’d encourage everyone to act quickly and visit www.ticketmaster.ie to make sure they’ll can be part of a fantastic event.”
