  • Tickets still available in Wellington and Dunedin
  • Fans urged to check tickets and plan ahead

The ‘sold out’ sign has gone up at Eden Park for the All Blacks opening match of the Steinlager Series against France on Saturday and New Zealand Rugby (NZR) is reminding fans to get to the ground early.

“It’s fantastic that the Steinlager series will kick off in front of a capacity 46,160-strong a crowd and we want to make sure fans have the best experience possible on the night,” NZR Head of Marketing Brand and Retail Ventures Todd Barberel said.

“Our advice to fans is to use their match tickets to access free public transport and avoid any delays by arriving well before kick-off so they can settle in and enjoy the pre-match entertainment.”

Gates open at 5pm with kick-off at 7.35pm and buses and trains to and from Eden Park are free with match tickets.

“Whenever there is a big crowd like this there is the risk security checks might take a little longer, so a little extra time always helps reduce the stress levels.”

There are fewer than 2,000 tickets left for the second Test at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on 16 June and about 6,000 for the third and final Test at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on 23 June.

“Given we are now officially sold out, there are no more tickets available from the official ticket agent for tomorrow nights’ Test match, Ticketmaster,” Barberel said.

“There is always a risk in buying tickets from scalpers or ticket resellers like Viagogo. The best policy is to stick to the official channels. NZ Rugby doesn’t want any All Blacks fans to be ripped off.

“Before you get to the game, please check your tickets to make sure you are coming in through the correct gate. And please be aware that adults trying to enter with a child’s ticket will be denied entry.

“The good news is that there are still tickets available for the Test matches in Wellington next week and Dunedin the week after and the only official ticket agent for those matches is Ticketek,” he said.

Ticketek is the official ticketing agency for the Tests in Wellington and Dunedin. Our official ticket agency websites can always be found through our website www.allblacks.com.
