Perry Hayman suspended for one week
Horowhenua Kapiti midfielder Perry Hayman has been suspended for one week, following two yellow cards in his team’s Mitre 10 Heartland Championship match against Wairarapa Bush last Saturday.
Hayman was issued his first yellow card in the 51st minute of the match for a high tackle. Another high tackle in the 71st minute saw him issued a second yellow card resulting in an automatic red card.
Duty Judicial Officer Nigel Hampton QC noted Hayman had a clean record during his past four years in representative rugby, and had provided an early admission of his responsibility. He considered the offending to be at the lower end of seriousness.
Hayman has been suspended from all rugby for one week, up to and including Saturday 10 September 2016, meaning he will miss Horowhenua Kapiti’s Week 3 match against North Otago at Forsyth Barr Stadium. He will next be available for selection for the team’s Week 4 match at home against Mid Canterbury.
