PERTH SPIRIT NAMED TO TACKLE FORCE ‘A’
The Perth Spirit squad has been named to take on Force ‘A’ this Saturday (31 January) at McGillivray Oval.
The game (3.40pm kick-off) will act as the curtain-raiser for the Western Force’s second Asteron Life Super Rugby pre-season match against the Asia Pacific Dragons. The majority of Western Force players will be represented across these two matches.
The Spirit squad contains five players who were involved in the team’s run into last year’s Buildcorp National Rugby Championship final, with Harry Scoble, Al Rovira, Nili Fielea, Kaisa Reedy and Davis Tavita to pull on the black-and-gold hoops once again.
Also named in the squad are 16 members of the Western Australian Under 20’s side who will compete at the Southern States Championship next month. This will provide them with a fine opportunity to test themselves against Asteron Life Super Rugby opposition as they prepare to defend their crown at the tournament in Adelaide from Friday, 20 February.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are available from the Western Force Team Store (203 Underwood Ave, Floreat) today or at the venue on match day.
Parking at UWA Sports Park is available off McGillivray Road (entry via Brockway Road). Entry to the ground is accessible via the northern fence line. Please note, with other events taking place at the UWA Sports Park/HBF Stadium precinct, supporters are advised to arrive early.
